Hollywood’s rising star, Jennifer Lawrence went for an edgy new haircut at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. 22-year-old actress shocked the world when she chopped off eight inches of her long hair and debuted a shorter hairdo for her recent red carpet appearance.
Young and successful, Jennifer ditched her long blonde locks for a new textured bob with side swept bangs. Jennifer Lawrence’s shaggy, layered haircut looked bold, sassy and framed her glowing face perfectly, thanks to her hair stylist of three years Mark Townsend.
“It wasn’t for a role…it was totally spontaneous. Her hair had quite a bit of damage from all the coloring, so I thought we’d take about four inches off, but she kept telling me to take off more and more. I was the nervous one, because she had never said she wanted to go shorter before, but she was so excited. I ended up cutting about eight inches.” Mark Townsend shares with allure.
